William George Carruth, age 69, of Redford, Michigan, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026 from natural causes. Born on September 18, 1956, in Dearborn, Michigan, William was a dedicated electrician whose passion for his craft was matched only by his deep love for the animals and the world around him.

William will be remembered for his gentle spirit and steadfast generosity. He dedicated much of his life to helping others, using his electrical skills to assist friends and family with their projects, often without a second thought. His ability to transform homes and lives with his talent will be cherished by all who were touched by his kindness. He was also known for his quiet resilience; though reserved at first glance, those who took the time to know him discovered a vibrant and outgoing personality that shone brightly at gatherings, especially on the dance floor. His joyful presence was felt at every wedding he attended, where he was fondly remembered for his enthusiastic dancing.

An avid lover of animals, William cared for the wild creatures that graced his surroundings, treating them with the same affection and protection he offered to his family and friends. He found peace and joy in the companionship of his beloved pets and became a caretaker for the wildlife around him, a testament to his gentle heart.

William is survived by his mother, Shirley Carruth; his sisters, Linda (Errol) Yax and Verna Williams; and brothers, Ken, Rob, Glen (Sharon), and Kevin (Cherry) Carruth. He will also be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews, including Scott (Christine) Carruth, Corey Carruth, Amanda (Tristan) Mathews, Jason (Nichole) Yax, Kristal (Aizaz) Chughtai, Sarah (John) Sturgill, Ryan (Korine) Carruth, Austin (Mark Chris) Watson, and Zachary Carruth, as well as many great nieces and great nephews.
