William H
Bolitho
May 5, 1951 – January 19, 2026
William H Bolitho, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, in Wayne, Michigan. Born on May 5, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan. Bill lived his life doing what he loved most; being surrounded by family and friends at a gathering, on a boat or on a river. A skilled craftsman, throughout his career his handiwork graced many prominent buildings in downtown Detroit and at the University of Michigan.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Betty Bolitho, his sister Barbara Day and his beloved dog, Jezebel.
Bill was an avid fisherman, a pastime he pursued with a passion that saw him on the water every chance he had. His expertise with a rod and reel was legendary, and he generously shared the bounty of his catch with his family, a testimony to both his skill and his kindness. He could fix, create, and build anything. He always used his expansive skill set to help others.
Bill's love for the outdoors was rivaled only by his deep love for his family and his fiancée Chris Worley. He is survived by his family who will miss him dearly: David (Robin) Bolitho, Dennis (Val) Bolitho, Richard Day, Len Bolitho, Rhonda DeMello, Marc (Leigh) Bolitho, David (Rachel) Day, Christina (Jeff) Pahl, Charlotte (Alex) Wilt, Thomas Bolitho, Gabrielle Bolitho, Jackson, Matthew and Alexandra Pahl.
