Obituary

Wetzel "Wes" Adkins passed away on July 31, 2023 at the age of 82 in Howell, Michigan.  He was born on June 5, 1941 in Spurlocksville, West Virginia to the late Joe and Ethel Adkins.  Wes was the beloved husband of the late Shirley.  He is survived by his loving children Tammy (William) Rogers, David (Patti) Wright, and Terri (Thomas) Vance; dear grandchildren Tonia (Tony) Siconolfi, Tameeka (Mike) Haggadone, Trevor (Nicole) Rogers, Emily Wright, Lauren Wright, Taryn (John) Zebrowski, and Tayla Vance and adored great-grandchildren Payton Vance, Olivia Siconolfi, Brooklyn Siconolfi, Liam Haggadone, Genna Haggadone, Brantley Rogers, Ellie Rogers, Blaine Beam, Maxwell Beam, Brynlee Wilson, Emersyn Vance, Rylin Zebrowski, and one great-grandson on the way, Morgan Roarty.  Siblings Wilma Gibson, Wesley Adkins, the late Donzel Adkins, the late Benton Adkins, the late Willard Adkins and the late Joe Adkins.  Wes was also survived by his god-daughter, Trina Cook, and many nieces and nephews.

Wes spent much of his retirement caring for his family.  He was a proud grandfather and enjoyed helping out wherever he could. He was a devoted caregiver to his wife, Shirley.  Wes loved sports.  He found so much joy in bowling and was a big Detroit Tigers fan.  In the evenings, you could find him relaxing with a western movie.

His loving and kind nature will be deeply missed.
