Walter Robert (Bob) Edwin Wilcox passed away on 02/10/2025 at the age of 97. Bob was born in Dearborn Township, Michigan on 10/08/1927 and resided in Wayne, Michigan with his parents and seven brothers and sisters.  He is preceded in death by his wife Mogel Jean Wilcox, his parents John Henry and Clara Beatrice Wilcox, his brothers William Carl, Bertan James, and Melvin Dennis Wilcox, his sister Donna Jean Hughes, and daughter-in-law Mardell Wilcox.

Bob is survived by his sisters Doreen Ann Armstrong, Dorothy Myrtle Pakkala and Dorice June Kreklau; his children Dian Faye Henson, James Alan (Trish) Wilcox, Robert "Bob" Paul Wilcox, Cheryl Beatrice Wilcox and step-children Paul Curtis (Judy) Blackburn, Bette Lorraine Kelso, and Gail Ann (Dennis) Ray.  He is also the loving grandfather of 11 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren.

Bob was drafted into the Army/Air Core in October of 1945 and served in 1946 at the age of 18.  When released, he worked various jobs until his full-time job with the Wayne County Road Commission.  Over the years he honed his skills as an auto mechanic, working with different businesses.  Bob liked to bowl, golf, fish and loved bingo, euchre, and hotdogs.
