Tina Ann Smith, a loving mother, devoted wife, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Born on February 23, 1981, in Wayne, Michigan, Tina illuminated the lives of everyone around her with her compassion, creativity, and unmistakable spirit.
Tina was the beloved daughter of Cathy Valle and the late Sonny, as well as her step-father, the late Jim, who played an irreplaceable role in her life. She is survived by her loving husband, Brian Smith, whom she met through friends and married on June 18, 2005. Together, they celebrated 26 years together with 21 wonderful years in marriage. Filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Tina's legacy lives on in her two beloved children, Emily and Joey, who were the light of her life.
Tina's family was her heart, and the bond she shared with them was unbreakable. She is also remembered fondly by her sister, Linda (Craig) Power, and her beloved nephews, Issac (Carolina) Power, CJ Power, Adam Power, and Nathan Cranford, as well as her niece, Elyssa Cranford. Tina's nurturing spirit touched all of their lives, and her love was a guiding force for her entire family.
A creative soul, Tina expressed herself through various artistic pursuits, including painting, drawing, and pottery. Her craftiness was a reflection of her vibrant personality, and she brought waves of color and creativity into the world around her. Tina found joy in exploring the world, and her love for travel often led her to new adventures and experiences, from thrilling escapades to tranquil escapes. She cherished these moments, always seeking a change of scenery and a new story to tell.
Tina was also known for her love of animals and her unwavering dedication to helping others. With a caring heart, she often lent a helping hand to those in need, and if she couldn't help, she knew her husband, Brian, would be right there to assist. Her incredible sense of humor and infectious laughter brought joy to those fortunate enough to know her. She had a special place in her heart for her favorite reality TV shows, where she found both entertainment and inspiration.
The family will honor Tina's beautiful spirit and celebrate her remarkable life with a memorial service to be held at a later date. Friends, family, and all who loved her are invited to join in this celebration of her life, remembering the joy she brought to so many.
Tina was preceded in death by her father, Ernest "Sonny" Lee Jr. step-father, James "Jim" Valle, and sister, Angela Cranford.
