Thomas Charles "TC" Wilmot, Jr., passed away November, 28, 2021, in Canton, Michigan, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. The family would like to thank the staff at Crystal Creek Assisted Living, in Canton, Michigan, for their care and kindness. TC was born to the late Thomas & Emma (Mason) Wilmot on March 14, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan. He attended Wayne Memorial High School, and went on to earn Bachelor and Master degrees at Eastern Michigan University, where he was also on the golf team and president of the Arm of Honor fraternity. He enjoyed his 30-year career as a Physical Education teacher in Wayne-Westland schools, where he also coached school sports, and taught drivers education courses. TC was passionate about sports from an early age — excelling in football, bowling, golf, softball, and even marbles. He was an avid sports fan, and will rest in peace after a great University of Michigan football season. He loved his family, friends, and neighbors dearly, and enjoyed spending time with them — hosting guests in his pool, watching sports, or just socializing through the years at the Studio Lounge, then Jakes, then Club Canton, and the Avenue. He'll be remembered for his sense of humor, awful puns, and karaoke performances. TC is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Thomas and Sandra Hill of Kirkland, Washington; grandson Tyler; nieces Beth, Patty, Cathy, Linda, Anita, Molly, and Carol; and nephew Joel. He was predeceased by his sister Dorothy Flory; and brother, Murray Wilmot. He will be buried at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West, in Westland, Michigan. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In the meantime, please take a moment to toast fun times spent with TC. He will be greatly missed.
