Thomas "Tony" Hollis was born on July 25, 1949 in Ypsilanti, Michigan.  He passed away on November 28, 2023 at the age of 74 in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Thomas was the only child born to parents Thomas E. and Ruby Hollis. He grew up in the city of Wayne and graduated from Wayne Memorial High School in 1967.  After graduating high school, he went on to Central Michigan University before joining the United States Army in 1970.  During his time in the military, he worked as a parts clerk and was deployed to Germany after finishing basic training.  Thomas was recognized with a National Defense Service Medal before being honorably discharged in 1972.  He worked for Plymouth Township for his entire 42-year career, retiring as the Public Works Manager in 2012.

Thomas went through the RCIA program and was a member of St. Mary Cause of Our Joy Catholic Church in Westland for many years. He was also a proud member of the American Legion Post 32.  Thomas was an avid golfer and loved to both play and watch golf.  He also loved bowling and bowled several 300 games throughout his life.  He enjoyed watching sporting events, especially the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers.  He was his family's biggest supporter, attending all of his grandchildren's church, school, and sporting events. He loved a good party and was known to be very sociable. He also loved going to concerts and Journey was his favorite band. He and Kelly attended many concerts together, including The Eagles, Aerosmith and Styx.

Thomas was a great caregiver to his mother before her passing.  He loved his daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, and stepchildren very much and would do anything for them.  He made great friends throughout his life easily, as everyone who met him loved him dearly.

Thomas is survived by daughter, Kelly (Joseph Brown) Hollis-Brown; granddaughter, Brooke Brown; grandson, Erik Brown; stepson, Paul Torti; former spouse, Donna Hollis; and former spouse and long-time companion, Gloria Legas.  He is preceded in death by parents, Thomas Ezra and Ruby G. Hollis, and stepdaughter, Kelli Torti Lambert.
