Terry Lynn
Bellant
April 7, 1972 – October 7, 2025
Terry Lynn Bellant, a beacon of selfless love and generosity, passed away on October 7, 2025, at her home in Van Buren Township, Michigan. Born on April 7, 1972, in Wayne, Michigan, Terry was a cherished daughter, beloved wife, devoted mother, adoring grandmother, caring sister, and a dear friend to all who were fortunate to cross her path.
Terry grew up in a warm, loving family with her parents, James and Carolyn Bargo, both of whom preceded her in death, and her brother, Roger Bargo. Her early years were filled with the joys of family life and the bonds she forged would guide her throughout her life.
It was at a "College and Career" group at church where Terry's heart found its match. She met Matt Bellant in December, and their love story unfolded like a fairy tale. After their first date in January, they were engaged by February and married on August 15, 1992. Their marriage was a testament to love, partnership, and faith, built on a foundation of mutual respect and shared values.
Terry and Matt were blessed with three wonderful children: Tyler and his wife Lauryn, Brandon and his wife Taylor, and Shelby and her husband Zachary Crosby. Terry's role as a mother was one she cherished above all else, and she instilled in her children the importance of family, faith, and kindness. Her love further blossomed with the arrival of her grandchildren, Brady, Bryce, Beau, Eleanor, and Emilia, who became the light of her life. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandkids and creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Terry's love extended beyond her immediate family to numerous cousins, extended family members, and a wide circle of friends who all felt the warmth of her embrace. Her home was a haven of comfort and acceptance, and her heart, an endless reservoir of compassion.
A woman of deep faith, Terry cherished her time at church with her family. Sunday family dinners were sacred, a time for togetherness, laughter, and sharing the day's blessings. Although not known for her culinary skills, Terry was an exceptional baker. Her chocolate chip cookies, rice pudding, and especially her cupcakes were legendary. She baked with love, and her desserts were not just treats but expressions of her generous spirit.
Terry's life was a living example of selflessness. She never learned to say "no" when it came to helping others, always putting their needs before her own. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her faith was the cornerstone of her existence. Terry's legacy is one of kindness, devotion to family, and an unwavering faith in her Savior.
As we remember Terry Lynn Bellant, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and grace, a life that touched so many in the most beautiful ways. Her spirit will continue to inspire us, her love will forever be a guiding light, and her memory will be cherished in the hearts of those she loved so dearly. Terry will be profoundly missed, but the seeds of love she planted in this world will bloom for generations to come.
