Shirley Gowland, age 100, of Wayne passed away on February 16, 2022.  She was born on May 19, 1921 in Chatham, Ontario, Canada to the late Harry and the late Olive Learst.  Shirley is survived daughter, Cindi (Michael) Yockey; grandchildren, Richard Clendennin, Steven Clendennin, Anthony (Jennifer) Clendennin, Mallory (Chris Stockwell) Yockey, and Michael Yockey; great- grandchildren, Katie, Kayla, Lucas,Daniel, and Hank; and great-great-grandchildren, Brooklynn and Cooper.  Shirley is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gowland, her long time companion, Ed Drews, daughter, Janet Clendennin; and siblings, Lillian Hardy, Robert Learst, Jean Wilcox, and Bernard Learst.  Described as a strong provider, her loving nature and caring heart will be dearly missed.
