Sandra Ann
Stephens
January 26, 1957 – April 2, 2026
Sandra was born Sandra Ann Dionisi on January 26, 1957 to Anthony Dionisi Sr and Marie Dionisi in Mount Clemens, Michigan. Born 2nd of 8 children. (Deborah, Sandra, Timothy, Anthony, James, Kenneth, Jaclyn and Chesaray). Sandy grew up on a farm in Westland, Michigan with her siblings where they all did farm chores and took care of farm animals.
Sandy was a loving and caring person to say the least. She's known to have helped, taken in, and cared for many friends and family over the years. One to take her shirt off and give if needed. Fiercely strong. She loved to cook. Always made sure everyone around her ate. Continuously offering her warm hospitality and comfort. Her heart was made of pure Gold and filled with Love, warmth and prosperity. Loved by everyone around her. A retired caterer.
She met her late Husband, Ernest (Dale) Stephens of Greenup, Kentucky in the 80's and married. Together had 3 daughters. Jennifer, Stephanie, and Samantha. Further down the line welcoming 3 grandchildren. Elaina (Stephanie), Wynter (Jennifer), and Xander (Jennifer).
Sandy was a devoted Mother and Granny. Always made sure her daughters and grandchildren had everything they needed. Very proudly supported the athletics the children and grandchildren participated in. She enjoyed travelling with her children and grandchildren to events and vacation spots.
In her spare time, you would see her sitting in the living room in her favorite chair watching T.V or a movie or in the kitchen preparing food. She often enjoyed reading magazines and doing the crossword puzzles in them. In the summer, she enjoyed gardening, having a vegetable garden on the side of the house and planting flowers in the front yard around the giant pine tree with her daughters and grandchildren. Family barbeques and events made her very happy. Sandy has continued and started family traditions for generations to come. Starting with the summer family pig roast. All the family and friends enjoyed the parties and fireworks. Her love for her dogs, Rocky, Sadie, Marley, Sasha and Casper,
played a role in her life as well.
She welcomed all races and generations into her family. Hanging out on the back deck or the front porch. Many memories have been made. She enjoyed new and old country music, motown, and oldies.
Sandy was survived by 3 daughters: Samantha, Stephanie, and Jennifer. 3 Grandchildren: Elaina, Wynter, and Xander. Brothers and Sisters: Timothy, James, Chesaray, Kenneth, and Jaclyn.
She was a wonderful, loving sister in law to Kathy (James), Dave Sirdan (Jaclyn), Ann Dionisi (Chesaray), Pamela Dionisi (Timothy), Wesley Harville (Deborah),Trisha Dionisi (Kenneth), and Laura Owens.
Loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by late Husband Ernest (Dale) Stephens, Sister Deborah Harville, Brother Anthony Dionisi, Father Anthony Dionisi Sr and Mother Marie Dionisi.
**Sandra will truly and incredibly be missed beyond words. She was loved by many.**
