Robert "Bob" Atkinson, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, at the age of 85 in Livonia, MI. Born on December 13, 1939, in Detroit, MI, Bob was a man of great character and warmth, whose generosity touched the lives of many.

Bob spent his formative years in Detroit, where he was born to David and Anna Atkinson. He was a loving brother to Harry Atkinson, who preceded him in death. Bob's life was enriched by his marriage to Kay Atkinson, with whom he shared 36 years of devotion and love until her passing in 2021. The legacy of their partnership is evident in the family they built and the values they instilled.

A man of faith and community, Bob was deeply involved with his church, where he formed lifelong friendships and offered his time and skills generously. His love for woodworking not only showcased his craftsmanship but also served as a medium through which he expressed his love for those around him, creating countless cherished pieces for family, friends, and his church.

Bob's sense of humor was a light in any room, and his laughter was infectious. He had a good heart that radiated kindness, and his giving nature was felt by all who knew him. He leaves behind a family who adored him: his loving daughter, Victoria Reichouri; his grandsons, Matthew and Benjamin Atkinson; and his granddaughter, Ashley White, along with 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
