Richard Cummings passed away on September 3, 2023 at the age of 76 in Sharon Twp, Michigan. He was born on May 2, 1947 in Lowell, Massachusetts to the late George and Teresa Cummings.  Richard is survived by his children, Lorie (Rob) Bennett, and Kara (Ken) Young; grandchildren, Malorie Kochanek, and Ben Kochanek; and significant other, Robin Hummer.

Richard was a proud alumni of MIT and an accomplished professor, having worked at MIT and Wayne State University.  Richard was also very proud of his flowers.  Being a horticulturist, he had a beautiful garden.

His knowledge and loving nature will be deeply missed.
