January 20, 1940 – December 1, 2025
Regis William Miller, age 85, of Westland, Michigan, passed away on December 1, 2025 after a brief illness.
Regis was preceded in death by his devoted wife Kathleen (Hunt) Miller, their daughter Mary, his brother Charles (Chuckie) and parents Regis (Pete) and Rita (Menigat) Miller.
Regis is survived by his loving children Michael (Rachel), Mark and Marcie (Dave) and his four adored grandchildren Toni (Warren), Michael, Alexis and Ian. He is also survived by his 3 devoted sisters-in-law Karen, Beverly (Mike) and Barbara (Joseph) who became true sisters to him and many nieces and nephews.
Regis was born and raised in the great city of Pittsburgh and was an avid and passionate Pittsburgh Steelers fan. In 1967, Regis and Kathy, along with their 3 children, relocated to Michigan for Regis' career with United Airlines. Although he lived in Michigan for the majority of his life, Pittsburgh would always be considered home.
Regis was full of energy and made friends wherever he went. He loved chocolate and sweets of any kind. Regis loved watching movies - either at home or in the theatre. When the VCR was invented, Regis found another passion. He would record movies and share these with family and friends. Many a day was spent making videotapes for others to enjoy and managing his thriving movie lending library. He also loved any type of gadget and would often buy unique and unusual items. Regis was generous in all ways. Always willing to lend a hand, provide a ride or give a thoughtful and generous gift, his boundless energy was channeled into helping others. Regis embraced life and developed new hobbies in his free time and retirement. Regis became an avid golfer and participated in golf leagues. He enjoyed attending PGA events gathering many signatures from the pros and collecting memorabilia. Regis loved his grandchildren very much and was always generous. He loved to spend time with them and plan little adventures. Regis was gregarious and enjoyed sharing jokes and comical quips. He was always on the go and relished his daily routines. Traditions were vital to him and he valued them always. Regis could talk to anyone and loved to smile and laugh. He will be missed by all.
