Phillip Lavon Hamilton, a cherished family man, passed away on March 6, 2024, in Wayne, Michigan. Born on December 1, 1942, in David, Kentucky, Phillip-known affectionately as "Pete" by those who knew him best-lived a life marked by patience, dependability, and a deep-seated faith.

Phillip's memory is treasured by his children William (Heather) Hamilton, Michelle (Bill) Wicker, Kim (Jason) Chrispen, and Lisa (Bill) Maldonado, and his adored grandchildren Billy (Tori Koontz) Wicker, Andrew Wicker, Hannah Hamilton, Brennen (Michaela) Maldonado, Tyler Hamilton, Luke Maldonado, Kennedy Chrispen, Emma Maldonado, Madi Chrispen, Ella Chrispen, Carlee Wicker, Jacob Maldonado, Dougie Wicker, great-granddaughter Emery Maldonado, his surviving brother, Billy Hamilton and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 48 years, Linda Hamilton, his parents Alton and Hattie Hamilton, and siblings Howard, Jimmy, Artis, Mary Dotson, Alice Harless, Elsie Calhoun, and Rosaline Music.

Phillip retired from Ford as a machine operator, where his steadfast work ethic and generous spirit made him a valued colleague and friend. Outside of work, he was a proud Christian who lived his faith through his actions, always embodying the love and teachings of his beliefs.

Those who knew Phillip will remember him as a man who loved his family above all else. He was the pillar of the Hamilton family, a true family man in every sense. Phillip could often be working on a project or fixing what was broken, always with a calm demeanor and a patient approach.

Phillip's ability to be dependable was unmatched; he was the kind of man who would drop everything to lend a helping hand. His patience and calmness were qualities that not only defined him but also brought comfort and stability to those around him.

As a loving, faith-filled, and generous man, Phillip's legacy is reflected in the lives of his family members and all those who knew him. His example of unwavering love and dedication to his loved ones will continue to guide and inspire them for generations to come.

Phillip Lavon Hamilton's life was a testament to the values he held dear. His memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Phillip will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
