Paul James Stemple, a cherished family man, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025, at the age of 92 in Westland, Michigan. Born on January 25, 1933, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Paule and Mary Stemple, Paul's life was a testament to the values of love, dedication, and service.

A proud veteran, Paul served his country in the Air Force before embarking on a distinguished career at the University of Michigan. As a Manager in contract administration and cost reimbursement, he was known for his meticulous work and commitment to excellence.

Paul's devotion to his family was the cornerstone of his life. He was the loving husband to the late Gail Stemple. A father to be admired, he raised his children Cheryl (Ricky) Stillwagon, the late Debbie Aleman, Jeanni (John) Goormastic, and Joanni Stemple with a gentle hand and a generous heart. He instilled in them the importance of kindness and the value of hard work.

Known for being a "great girl dad," Paul's daughters always knew they were supported and loved unconditionally. His role as a grandfather and great-grandfather was one he cherished deeply. He leaves behind a legacy through his grandchildren Trisha, Christie, Sarah, Herbie, Hannah, Kasey, Kyle, John, Jenny, and Donnie, as well as 14 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, who will miss his wisdom and warmth.

Paul's interests reflected his zest for life and his love for the world around him. An ardent fan of University of Michigan football, he rarely missed a game and took great joy in the camaraderie and spirit of the sport. His love for golf and racquetball kept him active, and he could often be found enjoying the sun and the great outdoors, which brought him immense pleasure.

He was a man who went above and beyond for his family, providing not just material necessities but also emotional support and encouragement. His presence was a source of stability and comfort to all who were lucky enough to be a part of his life.

Paul's legacy is not only in the successful careers and families that his children have built but also in the countless lives he touched with his kindness and generosity.
