With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Paul Guajardo, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who passed away on July 18, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on May 29, 1961, in San Antonio, Texas, Paul spent his final years in Wayne, Michigan, where he cherished moments with family and friends.

Paul was a dedicated worker in the asbestos removal sector of the HVAC industry, known for his unwavering work ethic and commitment to excellence. He took immense pride in his work, and when not at his job, he could often be found in his yard, meticulously cutting the grass. To him, it was not just a chore, but a labor of love.

A devoted family man, Paul's greatest joys came from his son Adam Guajardo, who was the light of his life, and his granddaughter, Emma Guajardo, whom he adored beyond measure. He was surrounded by a constellation of siblings: his brothers Valentin, Pedro, Ruben, and Jerry, and the sisters Sanjuana, Diana, Gloria, Elizabeth, Selina, and Gloria, all of whom will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Paul was also blessed with numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom he affectionately bestowed with unique nicknames, reflecting his big-hearted spirit.

Paul's kindness knew no bounds; he had a remarkable ability to make strangers feel like friends, demonstrating a warmth that endeared him to many. His great sense of humor brightened the lives of those around him and will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. He was a treasured member of the Wayne Moose Lodge, where he shared camaraderie and laughter.

He is survived by his loving family: his mother, Gloria Salinas; son Adam (Amber) Guajardo; granddaughter Emma Guajardo; siblings Valentin (Sue) Guajardo, Sanjuana (Matthew) Day, Pedro (Valerie) Guajardo, Diana (Lee) Long, Jerry (Karen) Guajardo, Gloria (Jerry) Ball, Elizabeth (the late David) Lopez, Selina (Ciro) Flores, and Gloria Perez; sister-in-law, Deanna Guajardo, a host of nieces and nephews, his long-time companion, Kathy Elswick, the mother of his son, Jackie Dawson-Guajardo, and his beloved cat, Jonesie.

Paul Guajardo will be deeply missed, but his legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, Valentin Guajardo; brother, Ruben Guajardo; nephew, Jerry Ball Jr; as well as several infant nieces and nephews.
