Obituary

Patricia Gail Kinsman, age 87, of Van Buren Twp., Michigan, passed away on March 29, 2026. She was born on January 8, 1939, in Port Huron, Michigan, and lived a life marked by love, generosity, and devotion to family, friends, and community.

Patricia was a woman of great warmth and presence. She was vibrant and colorful, always smiling, and carried herself with a grace and elegance that those around her admired. She was classy in every sense of the word, and she had a way of making others feel welcome and valued. Her kind spirit and selfless nature touched many lives, and she was known for always being willing to help wherever she was needed.

Patricia retired from Ford Motor Company, where she worked with dedication and pride. Even after her retirement, she remained active with the UAW and was especially proud of her involvement on the Women's Committee and her service on the Executive Committee. She believed in standing up for others and in contributing to causes that mattered, and she carried that commitment into her charitable work as well. Patricia gave of herself in many ways, including gathering items for the St. Mary Community Outreach Center's food pantry in Wayne, helping to support individuals and families in need. Patricia also had many talents that made her unforgettable. She was a very good dancer and an amazing singer, and her love of music was something she shared with those she held dear. Her singing talent was passed along to her great-granddaughter Cameryn, a gift that will continue to bring joy to her family for years to come. Patricia was also a talented decorator, and she took pride in making her surroundings beautiful and welcoming. She was not difficult to reach, as she lived in the same home with the same phone number for more than 50 years, a reflection of her steadiness and the rooted life she built for herself and her family. Above all, Patricia loved her family deeply. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Douglas) Fussman; daughter-in-law, Kimberly A. Huber; grandsons, Christopher Kinsman, Brandon (Shannon) Burnett, Nathan Huber, and Ryan (Kayla) Ennett; granddaughters, Cassie (Garrett) Hammerle and Kaylin Huber; and many great-grandchildren, Samantha, Christoper Jr., Ava, Ryland, Aubrianna, Jett, Lincoln, Cameryn, Brycen, and Evelyn. Her family was the center of her world, and she found great joy in being surrounded by the people she loved. She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Misselbrook; her mother, Iva Ruth Misselbrook; her daughter, Theresa G. Kinsman; and her son, Nicholas F. Kinsman. Though her passing leaves a deep void, her family takes comfort in the many memories she created and the example she set through her loving, kind, and selfless life. Patricia will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to others, her bright personality, and the many ways she made life better for those around her. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the community she served, and the countless lives she touched with her generosity and care.

In place of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to St. Mary's Outreach Center, a cause Patricia deeply loved and supported.
