Obituary

Pamela Lynn Prough, affectionately known as Pam to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024, at the age of 61, in Livonia, Michigan. Born on October 20, 1962, in Highland Park, Michigan, Pamela's life was a vibrant arrangement of love, creativity, and kindness.

Pamela's early years in Wayne were filled with warmth and laughter, setting the foundation for the incredible person she would grow to become. Her educational journey culminated with a Bachelor's Degree, which she put to use in a profession that allowed her to express her innate creativity. Pamela's career as a long-time floral designer and manager at My Lady's Florist was a testament to her artistic spirit and her ability to bring beauty into the lives of others.

Pamela's life was enriched by her loving family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Howard "Bud" Prough, Jr., with whom she shared a life full of joy and cherished moments. Her daughter, Megan Prough, was the light of her life, and the bond they shared was unbreakable. Pam was an amazing "GiGi" to her grandson, Grayson who was a huge blessing in her life. She also leaves behind her loving sisters, Debbie (Eugene Gore) Billingsley and Tammy (Dan) Busick, and her brothers, Steve, and Jimmy who will miss her deeply. Pamela's family circle included her mother-in-law, Carol (late Howard) Prough, brother-in-law, Robert (Tracie) Prough, and sister-in-law, Theresa (Roy) Kolman, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her father-Edward Kilbourne, mother- Leona Faye Kilbourne, brother- Jeff Kilbourne and brother-in-law Doug Billingsley.

Beyond her family and career, Pamela's interests and activities were a reflection of her zest for life and her desire to make the most of every moment. She was a dedicated Rainbow Girls Advisor, impacting the lives of young women with her guidance and wisdom. Her passion for life was evident in her love for spin and exercise classes, riding Harleys with Bud and friends, and enjoying long walks with her beloved dog, Macey. She was always planning and helping at events at the Wayne Masonic lodge like the Children's Christmas party, ice cream social, car show and more. Pamela's joy was contagious, and she could often be found shopping, being a porch connoisseur or simply spending time with her friends and family, whom she adored.

Pamela's creativity was not limited to her professional life; it was a part of her very essence. She was known for her loving nature, her kind heart, and her ability to see the beauty in the world around her. These attributes made her a cherished companion, a valued friend, and a beloved member of her community.

As we remember Pamela, we are reminded of the light she brought into our lives. Her legacy is one of love, creativity, and kindness, and it will continue to inspire those who knew her. Although she has left this world, the memories she created and the love she shared will forever be etched in the hearts of her family and friends.

Pamela Lynn Prough's life was a beautiful journey that touched many souls. As we bid her farewell, we do so with gratitude for the time we had with her and the lessons she taught us through her example. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the countless lives she has enriched. We take solace in knowing that Pamela's story is not one of an end, but a continuing narrative of love that will always resonate within us.
