Pamela
Kitchen
September 3, 1947 – January 24, 2026
Pamela Kitchen, a cherished soul and beacon of kindness, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, in Superior Township, Michigan, at the age of 78. Born on September 3, 1947, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, she was the beloved daughter of the late Warren and Kasalene Blackburn. Pamela's warmth and generosity knew no bounds, and she will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A devoted mother, Pamela's love and guidance shaped the lives of her children. She was predeceased by her daughter Deborah Kitchen and is survived by her son Carles Kitchen and his wife Maureen. Pamela's legacy of love continues through her grandchildren Mitchell Barber, Vivien Barber, Natalie Kitchen, Darin Kitchen, and Francis Kitchen, who will carry her spirit in their hearts forever.
Pamela's professional journey was marked by dedication and excellence. For many years, she was a valued employee at Michigan Bell, which later became AT&T. Her hard work and tenacity saw her rise to a management position, where she led with compassion and integrity. Pamela's colleagues will remember her as a mentor and a friend who was always willing to lend an ear or a helping hand.
Beyond her professional achievements, Pamela was a woman of many passions. She was an avid crafter, finding joy in creating beautiful things with her hands. In her early years, she enjoyed the camaraderie and competition of bowling. A collector at heart, Pamela delighted in the hunt for unique Christmas decorations, adding sparkle and joy to the festive season. She was also the unofficial chauffeur for her grandchildren, a role she embraced with love and enthusiasm.
Pamela's best friend, Elaine Linderman, will miss the laughter and deep conversations that can only come from a lifelong friendship. Together, they shared life's ups and downs, and Pamela's absence will be felt deeply by Elaine and all her friends.
To describe Pamela as kind, loving, and generous only scratches the surface of who she was. She was a caretaker to everyone she met, offering her support and affection freely. Her presence was a comfort to those in need, and her ability to love unconditionally was her greatest gift to the world.
Pamela Kitchen's life was one of unwavering love and selfless service to others. As we say goodbye, we take solace in knowing that her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched. Her spirit will continue to inspire us to be better, to love more deeply, and to give generously. Pamela's memory will be cherished and honored by all who had the honor of knowing her.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Pamela Kitchen was a light in the world, and even in her absence, her light remains. Rest in peace, dear Pamela, until we meet again
