Norma Iris
Rosado
December 14, 1944 – March 11, 2024
Norma Iris Rosado, a beacon of love and kindness, departed from this world on March 11, 2024, in Dearborn, Michigan, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born on December 14, 1944, in the vibrant city of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Norma's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and faith. Her journey of 79 years was marked by an unwavering commitment to those she cherished and the values she upheld.
Norma's legacy began alongside her beloved husband, Elliott Rosado, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage, a partnership built on mutual respect and devotion. Together, they raised a family that became the cornerstone of her existence. Her children, Iris Rosado, Jasmin (Martin) Malnar, and Elliott (Jennifer Estrada) Rosado, were the pride of her life. Norma's heart swelled with joy for her grandchildren, Nicole (Anthony) Laquiere, Isabella (Donald) Stanfill, and Mia Rosado, and she was blessed to see the sparkle in the eyes of her great-grandchildren, Estella and Vincenzo Laquiere.
The family matriarch, Norma, was the embodiment of love and strength. She was surrounded by the warmth of her siblings, Ramona (the late Francisco) Bermudez, Juan (Georgette) Rivera, Angel (Heidi) Rivera, and Aida (Doug) Kaiser. The memories of her late sisters, Maria (Tony) Rosado, Lydia (the late Santos) Rodriguez and brother, Ismael Rivera, were held close to her heart, as were the bonds with her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Norma's entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as she and her daughter Iris built a successful housekeeping business from the ground up. Her tenacity and hard work were the foundations upon which she provided for her family, teaching them the value of perseverance and integrity. Norma's dedication to her business was paralleled only by her dedication to her faith as a devout Jehovah's Witness. Her belief system guided her through life's challenges and brought her immense peace and fulfillment.
A woman of diverse interests, Norma found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an ardent fan of classic detective shows, with "Murder She Wrote" and "Columbo" being her favorites. These moments of leisure were surpassed only by the time she spent surrounded by her family, sharing stories, laughter, and love. Norma's furry companion, Ginger, was a constant source of comfort and joy, reflecting her deep love for dogs and all living creatures.
Norma's essence can be captured in three words: loving, kind, and gentle. Her gentle spirit and kind-hearted nature were evident to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Norma's love was a guiding light that illuminated the paths of many, instilling in them the courage to face life's adversities with grace and optimism.
As we reflect on Norma's life, we are reminded of the indelible mark she has left on this world. Her story is one of unwavering love, resilience, and the enduring power of family ties. Let us carry forward the lessons she imparted through her example: to love deeply, to act kindly, and to live gently. Norma's spirit will forever remain a beacon of hope and inspiration, encouraging us all to cherish each moment and to create a legacy of love that will echo through generations.
Today, we celebrate Norma Iris Rosado, a woman whose life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of compassion and humanity. She has transitioned from our physical world, but her spirit endures, urging us to live fully, love profoundly, and leave a mark on this world as radiant as the one she has left in our hearts. Norma's journey continues in the stories we share, the memories we cherish, and the love we spread — a love that, like her, knows no end.
