Nancy Swoboda (Speier) was born on July 13, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan.  She passed away on October 18, 2023 at the age of 63 in Westland, Michigan.

Nancy was a proud U.S. veteran, where she was in the Air Force for 8 years.  She was a notably hard worker in the military and beyond.  Her dedication made her well-loved by her coworkers throughout the years.

Nancy redefined the term "animal lover."  She took her beloved dog, Fred, on a walk through the park every day, where she fed the squirrels and other wildlife peanuts.  She often had critters following her around and she loved them just as much as they loved her.  She was an avid reader and loved listening to rock n' roll, especially Bob Seger.

Nancy loved spending time with her family. She was a fighter, and she always held a positive attitude throughout all of her battles.  She was a great mother, sister, and friend to many. She will be dearly missed.

Nancy is survived by faithful companion, Fred; four children: Robert (Laurie) Swoboda, Rebecca Swoboda, Matt Swoboda, Amy Swoboda; brother, Gary Speier; four grandchildren, Regan, Peyton, Gavin, and Riley.  She is preceded in death by parents, Robert and Ellen Speier.
