Nancy Schurig (Adams) was born on May 5, 1948 in Hudson, Michigan to Jacob and Helen Adams.  She passed away on September 6, 2022 at the age of 74 in Westland, Michigan.

Nancy married the love of her life, Robert, in 1972.  They shared 50 years of love and laughter. Together they had two beautiful children, Robert II and Kristine.

Nancy was a social butterfly.  She loved being in the middle of the action with her family and friends.  If her grandchildren were participating in a sporting event, she would surely be there cheering them on.  Nancy was a great story teller, especially at her gatherings with family.  She also enjoyed playing cards and watching the Detroit Tigers.

Nancy is survived by husband, Robert C. Schurig; son, Robert (Kara) Schurig II; daughter, Kristine (Jamie) Grant; four grandson, Robert (Jennifer) Schurig III, Nicholas (Kaitlyn) Schurig, Connor Grant, Zennon Grant; two great-granddaughters, Harper Schurig, Kate Schurig; sister, Deborah Adams; brother, Ronald (Karen) Adams; brother, Richard (Debra) Adams; sister, Ann (Jeff) Enos; and many nieces and nephews. The family would especially like to thank Nicole Herron who dedicated her time and committed to Nancy's well-being over the past several years. Nancy's great quality of life can be attributed to Nicole's immense love and care.

She is preceded in death by father, Jacob Wilson Adams, mother, Helen Adams, brother, the late Randolph (Ann) Adams, brother, the late Michael (Shari) Adams.
