Michael William Byrom, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on October 26, 2026. He was born on June 11, 1953, to the late Donald and Gloria Byrom.
Michael shared 49 years of marriage with the love of his life, Susan Byrom, before her passing in 2021. Their life together was filled with love, laughter, and countless memories that will forever be cherished by those who knew them.
He was a devoted father to Derik (Timi) Byrom and Erin Byrom, and a proud Pa to his beloved grandchildren, Avery and Emily. His family was an important part of his life, and he will be deeply missed by those who were fortunate enough to share in his love, humor, and generous spirit.
Michael was known for his generous nature and mischievous sense of humor. A natural prankster, he loved making people laugh and bringing a little fun into everyday moments. He enjoyed dabbling in playing guitar and shooting pool, always finding ways to enjoy the simple pleasures in life.
Some of Michael's happiest times were spent heading up north to his cabin in Harbor Beach, where he could enjoy the peace and beauty of nature and the great outdoors. He had a special love for animals, especially cats and birds, and found joy in the natural world around him. He also had a fondness for classic movies, particularly The Three Stooges, whose timeless humor was right up his alley.
Michael was deeply involved in his community and was always willing to lend a hand or offer his time to others. His generosity, humor, and willingness to be there for those around him made a lasting impression on the people whose lives he touched.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to an animal rescue of your choosing in Michael's memory, honoring his love for animals.
