Martha (Marty) Rogers of Westland, MI  passed away Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024. Marty was born in Indianapolis, IN on Dec. 27, 1958. A lifelong Michigan resident, she was proud of her Indiana roots. She was an avid reader from childhood and was a Library Aide at the JFK Jr. Public Library in Dearborn Heights. Martha was a member of Garden City First United Methodist Church.  She was a bird lover and friend to all animals.  Marty is survived by brother John Scott (Beth) Rogers of Washington, MI, sister Susan (John) Cassidy of Simi Valley, CA, nieces Catie (Eric) VanWormer of Slinger, WI and Amelia Cassidy of Greenbelt, MD; nephew Andrew (Dianna) Rogers of Macomb MI, great niece Adelynn Rogers and great nephew Hudson Rogers.  Also survived by her lifelong friend Sandra Lowe of Westland and the extended Lowe family.  Martha was pre-deceased by her parents, John and Joan Rogers.  Memorials can be made to the Michigan Humane Society.
