Mark Krueger
Schueller
September 4, 1940 – November 3, 2025
It is with a profound sense of nostalgia and respect that we celebrate the life of Mark Krueger Schueller, who passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, in Westland, Michigan. Born on September 4, 1940, in Wayne, Michigan, Mark's journey through life was marked by dedication, creativity, and a vibrant love for the simple joys that life had to offer.
Mark proudly served his country as an Air Force veteran, a period of his life that was filled with stories of camaraderie and adventure. His service took him to Dover, Delaware, where he forged memories that he would lovingly recount in the years to come. After his time in the Air Force, Mark embarked on a 34-year career with Ford, where his diligent work ethic and amiable nature made him a well-respected figure among his colleagues.
Though his professional life was important, Mark's heart truly belonged to his family and his passions. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Alvera Schueller, as well as his sisters, Ardis Tower and Virginia Taylor. Virginia held a special place in Mark's heart, and their bond was one of deep affection and mutual respect. Mark is survived by his beloved fiancée of 25 years, Bobbi Housholder, whom he met at work and with whom he shared countless cherished moments. He is the dear father of Ronald (Liz) Schueller and Deborah (Johnathon) Royer.
A man of many talents, Mark was known for his incredible ability to fix anything that came his way. His creativity knew no bounds, a trait that was best illustrated by the time he ingeniously attached a lawnmower engine to a wagon, much to the delight and amazement of those around him. He was also a master at crafting models, with a particular affinity for trains. Each Christmas, Mark's dining room would come alive with the sights and sounds of a meticulously assembled model train set, a testament to his patience and attention to detail
Mark's love for storytelling was legendary; he had an uncanny ability to captivate his audience with tales of his youthful escapades, his military service, his experiences at Ford, and the days spent fixing boats at a marina. His narratives were not just tales; they were lessons, laughter, and a legacy of knowledge.
A self-proclaimed homebody, Mark found solace in the comforts of his home, where he relished the pleasure of travel through Sunday drives, exploring the countryside, and returning to the warmth of familiar surroundings. His television preferences were simple but reflective of his personality; shows like "Gunsmoke," "M*A*S*H," and "The Beverly Hillbillies" on MEtv brought him joy and relaxation.
Mark's sweet tooth was well-known, particularly his fondness for carrot cake. His enthusiasm for this dessert became a charming idiosyncrasy that friends and family would often indulge, knowing that a slice of carrot cake was the way to his heart.
Described as handy and creative, Mark's legacy is one of a life lived with purpose, ingenuity, and a profound appreciation for the stories that weave the tapestry of our existence. He was a man who could create with his hands, inspire with his words, and love with his heart. Mark Krueger Schueller's memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
