Forsyth
December 28, 1951 – June 3, 2025

A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she leaves behind a legacy defined by amazing faith, family, and a life of giving. Born on December 28, 1951, in Belleville, Michigan, Margaret was the daughter of Oldrich and Frances Bitnar. She graduated from Belleville High School. She went on to be stay a home mother and eventually became an embroiderer, a job that she loved. For many years, when her kids were younger, Marti (as she preferred to be called) served faithfully as the choir director for the children's ministry King's Kids, at church where her leadership and love of music deeply influenced many children. She also served as a leader for the Missionettes at church and took her award winning troop on many fun camping trips. She also played and coached church softball for many years. A devoted member of Connection Church, Marti cherished her pastors and friends. Her commitment to her spiritual community remained steadfast throughout the last years of her life. Marti LOVED The Chosen, and even when very sick she made every effort to attend theater showings of new episodes, finding joy and inspiration in the message. She also found deep peace and connection in the natural beauty of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, particularly in Paradise-a place she held close to her heart. She is survived by her six children: Mike Bitnar (Ailene), Christa Alberts (Adam), Julie Cowley (Sean), Sam Forsyth (Stacy), Liz Webb (Patrick), and J'Aimee Forsyth. She was the proud grandmother of Taylor Casey, Jack Alberts, Sydney Alberts, Calla Teague, Trevor Teague, Nathanial Teague, Jon Forsyth, Avery Forsyth, Emma Forsyth, Ellia Webb, Clara Webb, Jude Webb, and Hannah Webb; and great-grandmother to Mason Peters. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings Don Bitnar (Linda) and Sue Leming. Marti will also be missed by her adored cat, Morris. Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Jack Forsyth; her granddaughter, Abigail Teague whose memory she held very close to her heart; her siblings Jerry Bitnar, Janet Oliver, and Larry Bitnar; and her parents, Oldrich and Frances Bitnar. Marti's life was one marked by strength, and unwavering devotion to her faith and family. She is deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her. Her love of Jesus and strength in these last years has been inspiring to anyone who knew her.
