Louise Marga Sanford, 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Chestnut Assisted Living Center, Norton Shores, MI.

Louise was born Jan 24, 1929 in Lincoln Park, Michigan to Remigio and Augusta Ninotti.

The family included brother Perry, and sisters Marie and Salina. They moved to Milan, Michigan when she was 9, where she stayed until 1950.

She married her best friend and love of her life, Roger Sanford on July 8, 1950. He preceded her in death, much too soon, in May of 1992.

Louise was gentle in spirit & full of kindness to everyone she met. She was a longtime volunteer and spent many years at Annapolis Hospital as part of their Auxiliary Program. She also worked with the Society for the Blind reading & recording books.

Louise's family meant the world to her and she was a most giving mom, grandma and great grandma. She will always be remembered for her love of baking cookies to give away, lamb dinners, cats, playing Pinochle and The Detroit Tigers.

She is survived by her sister, Salina Sanford, son, Ron (Helene) Sanford, daughter, Kathy (Doug) Huesdash, daughter-in-law Beth Sanford. Also 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and special family friend, Joelyn Stier.

Louise was preceded in death by beloved husband Roger, infant daughter Sharon, and son Daniel.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 from 9:30 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am at Uht Funeral Home, 35400 Glenwood Road Westland, Michigan 48186.
