Linda Jonas (Smith) passed away on October 29, 2023 at the age of 70 in Livonia, Michigan.

Linda was born on January 16, 1953 to Herman Smith and Donna Franklin.  She was one of the middle children to her five siblings.  She was a graduate of Wayne Memorial High School.  A few years after graduating, she had her first child, Jason, in 1973 followed by her daughter, Jennifer, in 1978.  She worked as a waitress for many years and also as a packing specialist at Plastomer.  In her younger years, she loved to dance and sing, especially at family reunions.

Linda was a great caretaker.  She loved helping others, especially her family.  She loved cooking and baking.  She will be remembered for her Christmas cookies and delicious holiday meals. You would often find her cooking while listening to her favorite country or oldies music.  Linda enjoyed traveling and vacationing with her family up north.  She was a caring, fun-loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She was loved by many and she will be deeply missed.

Linda is survived by son, Jason Lewis; daughter, Jennifer Lewis; eight grandchildren: Alex, Brennan, Taylor, JayVon, DahLon, Shaelyn, Joshua, Liberty; great-granddaughter, Arielle; two sisters: Pamela Smith, Robyn (Mark) Lenard; brother, Darren Duffiney; former spouse, Gary Jonas; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She is preceded in death by parents, Herman Smith and Donna Marie Franklin; former husband, Robert Lewis; sister, Mary Lewis; brother, Richard Duffiney.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the family's GoFundMe in order to assist with funeral expenses.
