Kevin Scott
Jarvis
April 19, 1965 – May 1, 2025
Kevin Scott Jarvis, a cherished father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on May 1, 2025, in Westland, MI, at the age of 60. Born on April 19, 1965, in Belleville, MI, Kevin's warm spirit and caring nature touched the lives of all who knew him.
For three decades, Kevin was the friendly face that managed Johnson's Car Wash. His dedication to his work was surpassed only by the love he had for his customers. Kevin created a welcoming atmosphere that turned a simple service into a community hub. His laughter and stories made even the mundane task of getting a car washed something to look forward to. Customers often left with a sparkle on their vehicles and a smile on their faces, knowing they'd been treated like family.
Kevin's passion for life extended beyond his work. He found joy in the simple pleasure of watching television, immersing himself in the stories and characters that danced across the screen. This pastime was just one of the many ways he connected with those around him, often sparking conversations and shared moments of laughter.
He was a man of great affection and generosity, known for his caring demeanor. Kevin's presence was a source of comfort and joy to his family and friends. He is survived by a loving circle of relatives, including his Aunt Tina Wayne; his stepson, Tristan Vandercook; his brothers, Ricky Jarvis, Keith Jarvis, and Eddie Schultz; his nephews, Andrew Jarvis, Hunter Jarvis; and his great-nephews, Asher Jarvis, Kaseyn Jarvis, and Liam Jarvis. His life was also enriched by his Uncle Jack (Sharon) Anderson; Aunt Beverly Treloar; and mother-in-law, Diane Vandercook. Kevin's legacy of love and kindness will live on through the cherished memories he created with each of them.
Kevin's journey preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Tammy Jarvis, father, Richard Henry Jarvis; his mother, Katherine May Jarvis; his sister, Shelly Schultz; and his Aunt Jan Spencer. Their guidance and love shaped Kevin into the remarkable man he became, and their memory served as a guiding light throughout his life.
Those who knew Kevin will remember him as a beacon of warmth and generosity. He had a unique ability to make every person he met feel significant and valued. His laughter was infectious, his storytelling unmatched, and his compassionate nature knew no bounds. Kevin's absence will be deeply felt by many, but the impact of his love and kindness will endure.
As we say goodbye to Kevin Scott Jarvis, we celebrate a life lived with abundant love and joy. We honor a man who devoted himself to his family, his friends, and his community. His spirit will forever be a part of the lives he touched, and his memory will be treasured in the hearts of all who loved him.
