Kelly Jo
Cady
August 24, 1963 – November 21, 2024
Kelly Jo Cady, a cherished soul whose vibrant spirit was a beacon of love and joy, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024, in Lincoln Park, Michigan. Born on August 24, 1963, in Garden City, Michigan, Kelly's life journey was one of passion, resilience, and unwavering love for her family and friends.
The daughter of the late Elizabeth Cady and Irvin "Sonny" (Lisa) Cady, Kelly grew up in a household where love was abundant and family was the cornerstone of life. Although her heart ached from the loss of her mother and the departure of two beloved husbands, her resilience and strength shone through as she lovingly raised her children, Gregory Lee Berry and Jamie (Pedro) Ayala, alongside her step-daughters Sheryl, Allison, and Candace Gonzales and "son," Tommy Kuzmish.
Kelly's life was a tapestry of relationships, each thread representing the deep connections she had with her grandchildren - Dystany, Katelynn (Brian), Xavier, Pedro Jr., James, Ja'Cella, Athena, Tatianna, Danielle, Alexzandra, Santiago, Luis Jr., Isabella, Cecilio, Amadio, Julian, Javier, Ramon, Ramiro, Chloe, Irene, Charlotte, and Nick. Her eyes would light up whenever she spoke of her grandkids, who were the very essence of her life.
She was a beloved sibling to Irvin, Mark, Gail, Kim, Amanda, Sonny, Aaron, Cody, Christopher, Kenser, the late Dale, and the late Kevin. Each of her brothers and sisters held a special place in her heart, and she treasured the unique bond she shared with each of them. Kelly's best friend, Paula, stood by her side through thick and thin, and their friendship was a testament to the power of enduring companionship.
Kelly's zest for life was evident in her love for Motown music, which often set the stage for her to showcase her dancing skills. Her presence in any gathering was unmistakable, as she was always impeccably dressed, with her makeup and hair done to perfection. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as going out with friends and enjoying a bit of gambling now and then. Yet, it was her family, her children, and her grandchildren that truly filled her life with purpose and happiness.
Deeply spiritual, Kelly started each day in reflection and prayer, reading the Bible every morning. This daily ritual grounded her and imbued her with the grace and kindness that she extended to everyone around her. She also expressed her innermost thoughts and feelings through writing, a practice that allowed her to share her wisdom and insights with others.
Kelly's love for her family was unparalleled. She was the embodiment of love, constantly nurturing and caring for those around her. Her home was a haven, a place where all were welcomed and embraced with open arms. She had an incredible ability to make everyone feel special, loved, and important.
As we bid farewell to Kelly Jo Cady, we celebrate a life beautifully lived, a heart generously shared, and a legacy of love that will continue to resonate through the generations. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by the countless lives she touched with her loving spirit. Kelly's departure from this world leaves behind a void that can never be filled, but the warmth of her memory will forever comfort those who had the privilege of knowing her.
We take solace in the fact that Kelly's journey was not only one of earthly experiences but also a spiritual voyage that she embraced with open arms. Her faith and love have left an indelible mark on our hearts, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of being a part of her life. Rest in peace, dear Kelly, until we meet again.
