Joyce Powell (Bradley) was born on March 20, 1948 in Corpus Christi, Texas.  She passed away on May 19, 2022 at the age of 74 in Wayne, Michigan.  Joyce was a proud graduate of Wayne Memorial High School class of 1967.  Soon after graduating, she met the love of her life, Bobby Powell.  He found her picture in his little sister's yearbook and asked her to introduce her to Joyce and the rest was history.  They married in 1972 and shared 49 and a half beautiful years together.  They shared two children, Jason and Georgina, and raised a family while working.  She worked as a cashier at Kroger in Wayne for 17 years and retired when they eventually closed.  She was a home-body and loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.  She was a great cook and everyone loved when she made her famous carrot cakes for them.  She enjoyed going grocery shopping and always caught her favorite game shows on TV during the day.

Joyce is survived by husband, Bobby Dwight Powell, son, Jason (Arla) Powell, daughter, Georgina Calhoun, grandson, Michael Powell, grandson, John Calhoun, grandson, Jason Bowman, granddaughter, Anya Powell, great-granddaughter, Alanna Powell, sister, Glenda Dunbar, sister, Carla Farmer, sister, Donna Baracy, brother, David Bradley.  She is preceded in death by father, Raymond Bradley, mother, Georgina Johanna Bradley, granddaughter, Britney Daneay Donahee, brother, Ned Bradley, and sister, Gloria Blair.  Joyce was loved deeply and she will be greatly missed.
