Joyce, a woman of profound strength and compassion, was predeceased by her beloved parents, Benedict and Agnes Lamie, and her cherished husband, Gary Cook, with whom she shared a beautiful life from their marriage on December 12, 1964. Together, they were high school sweethearts who built a foundation of love that would nurture their family for generations.
A proud mother first and foremost, Joyce dedicated her life to raising her five children, Lynn (Chad) Holleman, Gary Shawn (Marybeth) Cook, Sherilyn Cook-Dewey, Carrie (Michael Hartman) Hintz, and Jamie (Matt) Giordano. She instilled in them the values of integrity, kindness, and perseverance, guiding them to become upstanding adults. Her legacy continues to thrive through her grandchildren, Gary (Krista) Boston, Joseph (Kayleigh) Boston, Derek (Ashley) Boston, Daniel (Kira) Kropik, Hanna Cook, Jenna Cook, Richard Hintz, Casey Hintz, Briana (Logan) Caldwell, Dominic Giordano, and 11 great grandchildren.
Joyce was also a loving sister to Bonnie Schulman, Barbara Bihun, and Jacalyn Brown, each of whom shared in the joys and sorrows of life with her. Her family was the epicenter of her world, and she shone brightest when surrounded by her loved ones.
