José Radame López was born in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico on March 25, 1944 oldest son to Carmen & Pedro López who predeceased him in death. He attended Detroit Public Schools for Elementary Education and Graduated from Western International High School in 1962. Carrying on his education receiving a BS in Education from Eastern Michigan University.

José referred to as Joe, Papi, Abuelo, Titi Joe, Padrino or Radames by his family was the beloved husband to Carmen for 57 years. Papi to his three Children, William (Bobbie), Felipe and Shamin (Brandon) Abuelo to his loving grandchildren Briana, Sofia, Gabriel, Holly, Matthew, Luis and Thomas. José is also survived by many nephews, nieces, godchildren and great nephews and nieces. As well as many relatives in Puerto Rico. He is predeceased by his Brother Ruben López, brothers in law José Alicea and Fracisco Mojica (Pauline); survived by his sister Carmen (Hector), Sister-in-Laws Angelina (Aldalberto), Estella Lopez (Ruben) and Sherry Alicea (José). Cherished by many Friends, Co-workers and Neighbors.

He was a lover of all music, playing solitaire on his phone and anything that involved his family. He served his country in the US Army as a Special Class/Staff Sargent stationed in Germany. He was proud of his heritage and worked hard to become one of the first Puerto Rican licensed Master Plumbers in the Metro Detroit area. He worked over 20 years at the General Motors Romulus Engine Plant as a Master Plumber Pipe Fitter. He was a member of the Woodhaven Jaycees, American Legion, Knights of Columbus and served as Worshipful Master of Masonic Wayne Lodge 112 in 2003. His BIG Heart and loving nature will be missed by all!
