John Joseph Sobkowiak Jr., age 66, of Westland, Michigan, passed away on March 17, 2024, in Garden City, Michigan, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on July 22, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan to the late John Joseph Sobkowiak and Joanna Sobkowiak, he was a cherished brother, uncle, and friend.

John led a life marked by kindness, a sharp wit, and a passion for knowledge that he shared generously with all who knew him. He is lovingly remembered by his sisters Helene (Thomas) Gaw, Kathy Sobkowiak, and Michaeline Meek; and adored by his nieces Alicia Gaw and Megan Fung, and nephew Steven Meek.

His bright spirit and warm heart have left an indelible impact on his family. John's memory will be forever treasured as a beacon of joy and resilience in the hearts of those he touched.
