John David Habicht, age 60, passed away on June 13, 2026, in Livonia, Michigan. He was born on December 1, 1965, in Eloise Michigan, to the late Louis and Lillian Habicht.

John was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose hardworking spirit and love for family will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Brianna (Corey) Kitson-Habicht; his cherished grandchildren, Avery and Jayce; his brothers, Jimmy Habicht and Danny Habicht; his brother-in-laws, John Oster;Jay Snyder;his nephews, Marty(Ayatte)Lanstra;Shawn Derkatch;his niece, Nicole(Chris) Klink; and many other loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Lillian Habicht; his brothers, Buddy Habicht and Micky Habicht; and his sisters, Lori Snyder and Shirley Oster and his nephew Roger Lanstra.

A dedicated worker throughout his life, John took great pride in his work as a groundskeeper at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West in Westland, Michigan. He was known for his strong work ethic, willingness to lend a helping hand, and the care he put into everything he did.

Outside of work, John found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved gardening and took pride in maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. He enjoyed riding his side-by-side up north, spending time in nature, and relaxing with a fishing pole in hand. Whether tending to his garden, casting a line in the water, or exploring the trails up north, John was happiest when he was outdoors.

Above all else, John treasured time spent with his family. His happiest moments were those shared with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren, Avery and Jayce, who brought him endless pride and happiness. He loved watching them grow and creating memories that will be cherished for years to come.

John's memory will live on through the love he shared, the lessons he taught through his example, and the countless memories he leaves behind. He will be remembered for his hardworking nature, kind heart, sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to his family.

Though he will be greatly missed, his legacy of love, dedication, and family will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
