James Russell
Osborne
September 9, 1946 – March 14, 2025
James Russell Osborne, a cherished family man and respected community member, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2025, in Dearborn, Michigan. Born on September 9, 1946, to the late Greenway and Maxine Burchett, James lived a life marked by love, wisdom, and thoughtfulness.
James's journey began in the heart of a close-knit family and expanded when he married his beloved wife, the late Patricia Osborne, on December 14, 1968. Their union was blessed with three wonderful children: Toby Osborne (married to Shelly), Tonya Myers (widow of the late Timothy Blackburn), and Margie Kryzak (married to David). The joy of his life was further multiplied by his adoring grandchildren: Brandon, Amanda, Emily, Nick, Maddie, Amelia, and Christian, and his treasured great-grandchildren: Robert, Noah, Beau, and Elisabeth.
Though he was predeceased by his siblings Josephine Osborne, Faye Ott, and Stoney Burchett, James's memory will be forever cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
James proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War, displaying courage and patriotism that would define much of his character. Following his military service, he dedicated 30 years of his life to General Motors, working in the plating plant. His work ethic and commitment to excellence left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the industry.
Above all, James loved his family more than anything; they were his world. He instilled in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren the values of kindness, integrity, and the importance of family bonds. His wisdom guided them through life's challenges, while his thoughtful nature ensured that each family member felt loved and supported.
We bid farewell to James, a man of great character, who has left an indelible mark on this world. His life's story is one of enduring love and unwavering dedication to his family and country. May he rest in peace, knowing that his legacy will continue to shine brightly through the generations.
