James Benaway  was born on September 18, 1942 in Onaway, Michigan.  He passed away on October 15, 2022 at the age of 80 in Wayne, Michigan.  James is survived by Step-Daughter, Connie (Ron) Weishaar, Step-Son, Gary Henson, Grandchildren & Great-grandchildren, Many, Sister, Barb Suida, Brother, Allan Benaway, Nieces & Nephews, Many.

He is preceded into death by Father, Max Benaway, Mother, Marjorie Benaway, Beloved Wife, June Henson-Benaway, Step-Daughter, Judy Maniez, Step-Daughter, Valerie Henson and Siblings, Roy Benaway, Maxine Benaway and Pearl McGrath-Benaway.

James worked for many years at Blue Cross/Blue Shield, in spite of his visual impairment. He was also an avid piano player, who played by ear.
