Obituary

Jacob Marsden, beloved son, dedicated father, and cherished partner, passed away tragically on October 16, 2026, just shy of his 28th birthday. Born on October 20, 1998, in Garden City, Michigan, Jacob was the cherished son of Amber Kurtz and Patrick Marsden and beloved brother of Brianna Docusen.

Jacob spent his formative years in Westland, where he created lasting memories and friendships. He graduated from Wayne Memorial High School in 2016, where he was known for his tenacity and passion on the football field. Playing football throughout his high school years, Jacob was admired by teammates and coaches alike for his sportsmanship and dedication. Following high school, Jacob embarked on a career as a security guard for General Motors, a role he fulfilled with pride and diligence for three years. His colleagues remember him for his reliability and the sense of security he brought to those around him.

At the heart of Jacob's life were his family and friends. A devoted father, Jacob cherished every moment spent with his beloved daughter, Lyanna Rene Marsden and preparing for the arrival of his second daughter Alena Jayne Marsden. He was a pillar of strength and a love for his partner, Isabella Jeanleighann Halliday, with whom he shared countless treasured moments. Jacob's warmth and kindness extended to his family, including his sister Bri, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond.

Jacob's legacy is one of love, dedication, and unwavering support for those he held dear. His presence will be profoundly missed, yet his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though Jacob's time with us was far too short, the impact of his life and love will endure forever.

May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love of those he cherished.
