Helen Braun (Oestreich) was born on February 22, 1936 in Alden, New York. She passed away on April 14, 2021 at the age of 85 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Helen is survived by three daughters, Barbara (Dennis Jaworski) Braun-Jaworski, Carol (Michael) Larrison, Susan (Richard) Honke; son, Bob (Margaret) Braun; five grandsons, James Costello, Matthew Praedel, Christopher Praedel, Robert Larrison, Jonathan Braun; four granddaughters, Elizabeth Honke, Catherine Honke, Christie Fredette, Megan Larrison; two great-granddaughters, Laila Praedel, Kennedy Fredette; great-grandson, Ethan Fredette; four sisters, Margaret (Ron) Moretuzzo, Kathleen Davis, Ann Oestreich, IHM, Betty (Patrick) Logue. She is preceded in death by Father, Fred Oestreich, Mother, Catherine Oestreich, Husband, Donald Richard Braun. Helen graduated from Alden Central High School in 1954. She had four children with her husband, the late Donald R. Braun. Helen was one of the friendliest, most outgoing people around. If you sat next to her on an airplane, she would know everything about you but your social security number by the time you landed. She loved her family, Notre Dame, and the Detroit Tigers. Helen loved people; she often read to students at Roosevelt Elementary, volunteered at St. Mary Catholic Church in Wayne, and was a member on the commission on aging in Wayne. She was a grandma to everyone she met and she will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation or St. Mary Catholic Church in Wayne.
