Norton
October 6, 1958 – April 23, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Heidi Jean Norton, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who departed this world on April 23, 2026, in her home in Westland, Michigan. Born on October 6, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan, Heidi was a shining light in the lives of those who had the privilege to know her.
Heidi will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Dean Norton, her cherished daughter, Nicole Norton, her beloved son, Neil Norton, and her siblings, Ronna (Larry) Ferris, Ray Baker, Belinda (Rich) Foster, and Marcia (Larry) Filek. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandsons, Leonardo and Charleston, as well as her, soon to be great-grandson, Cade. The bonds she forged and the kindness she shared will remain enduring testaments to her wonderful spirit.
Throughout her life, Heidi demonstrated compassion and selflessness. As a nurturing mother, she supported her children in their pursuits of hockey and figure skating, finding joy in the camaraderie of fellow parents during many spirited games and competitions. Even in her later years, when her capacity to participate was limited, her heart remained open and generous, always eager to offer a helping hand.
Heidi and Dean's love story began one fateful night at The Studio in Westland, where a chance meeting blossomed into a lifelong partnership marked by devotion and laughter.
Heidi's career at Ford Motor Company as a line assembly worker was marked by her dedication and diligence. She took pride in her work and fostered meaningful relationships with colleagues, ensuring each day was filled with a sense of purpose.
Heidi was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Janet Baker.
Heidi Jean Norton will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever guide and inspire her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
