Heather Ann
Wethington
September 27, 1979 – November 5, 2025
With profound sadness and warmest memories, we announce the passing of Heather Ann Wethington, a beacon of love and joy in the lives of all who knew her. Born on September 27, 1979, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Heather's journey of 46 vibrant years came to a gentle close on November 5, 2025, in Detroit, Michigan.
A loving daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother, Heather is survived by a family who adored her immensely: her father, David Wethington, her mother, Evaughn Grubaugh, her daughters, Breanna (Chris Jr.) Bradley and Jilliann Baker, her son, Jordan Plant, her brother Gregory Wethington, and her cherished grandchildren, William and Maverick Bradley.
A lot of people called her Barbie, not just for her impeccable sense of style and the joy she took in fashion but also for her radiant and very pretty smile that could light up any room. She enjoyed dressing to impress. Her laughter was infectious, and her spirit was strong. She was a force to be reckoned with, a spunky personality who took no shit.
Heather loved to dance and was a devoted animal lover. She shared a special bond with cats, finding comfort and companionship in their playful and affectionate nature. Her empathy and love for all creatures great and small spoke volumes about her nurturing and loving character.
Heather's legacy will be known as resilient and strong. She is warmly remembered for her caring heart and the deep connections she fostered with people from all walks of life. Though the absence of her physical presence leaves a void, her spirit continues to resonate in the hearts of those she touched. Heather Ann Wethington will be deeply missed, her memory cherished and celebrated, as her love lives on within us. May she finally be at peace.
Fly high pretty woman.
