Gerald "Jerry" Birmingham, of Garden City, passed away on July 22, 2022 at the age of 66 in Detroit, Michigan. He was born on September 14, 1955 in Southfield, Michigan to the late Charles and the late Marion Birmingham.  Gerald was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, "Grumpa".  He was the beloved husband of Karen Lynn Birmingham.  Dear dad of Adam Birmingham, Dylan (Kristin) Birmingham, and Sara Birmingham. Loving Grumpa of Scarlett Birmingham and Salem Birmingham.  Brother of Maryann, Patricia, Charles, Richard, Azure, Patrick, Kevin, and the late Michael.

Described as fun loving, devoted, and generous, everybody loved Jerry.  He would do anything for anyone and especially enjoyed doting on his wife, children, and grandchildren.  He was a great handy man and could fix anything.  It is said that if he couldn't fix it, it couldn't be fixed. He was always busy around the house, the yard , and the cabin.  He loved his woodworking.  Everyone has something he's made. He most enjoyed spending time with his family.  You could find them all by the pool or at the cabin.  Any time together was a great time. He was proud to be a veteran of the Marine Corp, Master Mechanic,  and Ford Motor Company employee. His smile and kind nature will be dearly missed.
