Obituary

Frederick P. Enot went home to be with his Savior on March 15, 2026. He was born on June 1, 1951, to John Frederick Enot and Flora Isabel (Wilcox) Enot.

Fred is survived by his beloved wife, Julie; his children, Meghan (Ryan) Moniece and Myles; his cherished grandsons - Bryce and Ryker; Skyler; his sister, Margaret McMahon; his brothers-in-law Al (Lynne) Rogers, James (Jenny), Paul (Cindy), and Danny; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Fred was a gifted athlete in his youth and proudly competed in swimming at Wayne Memorial High School, where he qualified for state finals in his senior year. His record stood for many years at WMHS until it was later broken by his cousin.

A skilled craftsman and entrepreneur, Fred owned his own business for over 30 years, serving tool and die companies with his specialized polishing work. His attention to detail and ability to create a flawless shine left many in awe.

Fred was a man of strong faith who served in ministry in many capacities throughout his life. He loved sharing Jesus and speaking with a prophetic voice. He was a voice of encouragement to those who knew him.

He found joy in the open road, especially riding his Harley, and even polished a Motorcycle that placed 8th at Sturgis. He also had a special gift for humor—his pun jokes could make people laugh just as easily as they made them groan.

More than anything, Fred loved his family. He truly loved and honored his wife, Julie, and their marriage was grounded in faith and commitment. He was devoted and wanted nothing more than to remain present in their lives, lifting them up in prayer. His impact on those closest to him will never be forgotten. He shared a special bond with his children and grandsons, creating memories that will be treasured forever—especially their time spent fishing together.

In his later years, Fred found peace and wonder in nature. He spent many evenings admiring the breathtaking sunsets over Lake Superior, often sharing those moments with loved ones through photos.

Fred also had a heart for the world beyond his own home. He and Julie traveled throughout the United States and took part in a missionary trip to Ukraine in 1997, where they ministered to the people there.

Fred lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, craftsmanship, humor, and deep connection. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

A brief family service will be held with limited arrangements as we say our goodbyes. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, support, and generosity shown during this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you consider a donation to help cover funeral and transportation expenses to bring Fred downstate from the Upper Peninsula. You may find the link below.
