Frank Joseph Steyskal: A Life of Dedication

Frank Joseph Steyskal, age 87, passed away on November 23, 2025, in Livonia, Michigan.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, on June 22, 1938, Frank was the son of the late Anthony and Dora Steyskal. He grew up alongside his late sisters, Lorraine Otis and Dorothea Skaarud.

Frank was married to his beloved wife, the late Barbara Ann Steyskal, for 57 years, starting on June 29, 1959.

Frank served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1959 to 1963. He then worked as a dedicated tool and die maker until his retirement in 1999.

He was a beloved uncle to his many nieces and nephews: the late Valerie Stanwyck and Carol Gains, Larry (Becky) Otis, Lynne (Ron) Fultonovich, Scott Skaarud, Vincent (Tracey) Skaarud, Janet Deja, and Lori Ann (Matt) Ruark.

An avid softball player, Frank often played on three leagues at once. He lived in Brea, California, until 2018, when he returned to Michigan to be closer to his family.

Frank's life was a testament to his love for his family, his country, and his faith. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
