Frances Whited (Gordon) was born on September 5, 1931 in Nankin Township, Michigan.  She passed away on April 1, 2023 at the age of 91 in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Frances attended Wayne Memorial High School, but graduated from Spring Arbor High Schoo/Junior College.She attended EMU, where she completed her Bachelor's and Masters Degrees

She was a second-grade teacher for 33 years before working as a tax-preparer. She was very proud to be working still at the age of 91. Frances was better known as "GiGi," which her family has come to realize better stood for "golf and gambling" even though she was a wonderful grandma and great-grandma.  She loved to golf, play slots, and gardening. She enjoyed raising butterflies. Frances was a strong independent lady, she was a homeowner and continued driving even in her later years. She was loved dearly and will be deeply missed.

Frances is survived by daughter, Cynthia (Mike) Wilson, son, Gary (Christina) Whited, granddaughter, Shannon (Pete) Bukis, three grandsons, Aaron Wilson, Matthew Whited, Michael (Cristy) Whited, three great-granddaughters, Alyssa Wilson, Chesney Bukis, Brooklyn Bukis, two great-grandsons, Bryson Wilson, Tanner Bukis, and dear friend, Clare Maloney.  She is preceded in death by parents, Virgil Camer Gordon and Myrtie Ellen Gordon, and four brothers, Melvin, Don, Ron, and Jack.
