Esther Louise was born July 25, 1929 to Frederick and Clara (Prielipp) Roekle in Adrian, Michigan. Baptized on August 25, 1929 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Adrian. Confirmed March 29, 1942 in St. Stephen Lutheran Church. Graduated from MLS in 1946. Attended DMLC for 2 years. Taught at St. John Lutheran School Wayne for 2 years then 3 years at St. John Lutheran School in Bay City, Michigan. On August 15, 1953 married Frederic Doletzky of Wayne at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Saginaw, Michigan. Taught at St. John Lutheran School Westland for 4 years while her children were growing up.
Belonged to the choir, taught Sunday school, a member of Ladies Aid Society, helped start the Alpha Circuit of the LWMS and was a contact woman for the Central Africa Medical Mission for 30 years.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Frederic. She is survived by her children, Jo Ann Carmichael, Beth Cornwell, and Philip (Julie) Doletzky; grandchildren, Carla (Jeff) Hendrix, Heather (Paul) Krueger, Crystal Carmichael, Catarina Carmichael, Nate (Shelby) Cornwell, Amy Cornwell, and Sarah Doletzky; great grandchildren Dylan Cornwell, Koren Hendrix and Isaiah Hendrix; sister, Janet Roekle; brother, James (Betty) Roekle; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
