With heavy hearts and loving memories, we celebrate the vibrant life of Emmett Wayne Chipman, a bright light who brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. Born on September 21, 2012, in Livonia, MI, Emmett lived 13 years full of adventure and love before leaving us far too soon.

Emmett, a spirited student and cherished son, was known for his unwavering kindness and protective nature. He had a heart of gold and was the rock of his family-always looking out for his beloved mother and father, Brandi Bowden and Joshua Thompson, his father Zachary Chipman, and his siblings, Maci, Aubree, Alaya, Aiden, and Xavier. Emmett wasn't just a brother; he was a guardian who watched over his family with pride.

A natural athlete, Emmett loved playing football and was a dedicated member of his school's swim team. He could often be found shooting hoops with his siblings or diving into the fun of video games, especially Roblox. His joyful spirit was contagious, and he had an innate ability to bring people together through laughter and camaraderie. 

Emmett was a hardworking young man who took pride in earning and saving his money. He loved going to work with his dads and enjoyed staying busy. Emmett also had a fun-loving side and especially enjoyed working as a scarer at the Haunted Funeral Home in Inkster, where he delighted in playing pranks and bringing laughter and excitement to patrons.

Friends and family will remember Emmett not just for the games he excelled at but also for the way he made everyone feel valued and cherished. He was a protector, a friend, and a bright soul who left an indelible mark on our lives.

Visitation will be held to honor Emmett's life and celebrate the warmth he brought into our lives on June 7, 2026 at 12:00pm at Uht Funeral Home in Westland, Michigan. A funeral service will be held on June 8, 2026 at 10:30am with burial at Holy Sepulechre Cemetery. We invite all who knew and loved Emmett to join us in remembering him and the joy he shared with us.
