Obituary

Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Lewis, a beacon of kindness and love, passed away on May 23, 2025, at the age of 79, in Livonia, Michigan. Born on February 9, 1946, in Hazard, Kentucky, Libby was a cherished daughter to the late Woodrow and Lois Lindon. She brought light and laughter to all who knew her, and her memory will be treasured forever.

Libby's life was one of dedication and joy. She found her soulmate in her late husband, William Lewis, with whom she shared a life of love and companionship. Her caring nature extended to her step-children: Michelle (Rick) Tetreault, Laura Coats, Annette Goodfellow, and Mike Lewis, and step-grandchildren: Jamison Tetreault, Olivia Coats, Jacob Coats, Lily Goodfellow, Gabriel Goodfellow, Bailee Lewis, and Macie Lewis, whom she loved as her own. Libby's warmth and generosity of spirit were also evident in her relationships with her siblings: Fred (Shirley) Lindon, Phillip Lindon, Jerry Lindon, Woody (Patti) Lindon, Cindy (Ed) Mingus, and Robert Lindon. She was preceded in death by her brothers Paul (Karen) Lindon and Michael Lindon. Her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews also felt the immense love she had to give.

As a proud member of the Wayne Eagles, Libby found great joy in socializing and engaging in games with friends who shared her enthusiasm for life. Her love for playing scratch-offs was matched only by her love for music and dancing, especially when it came to the tunes of Elvis Presley, her favorite.

Those who knew Libby will remember her as the life of the party, always ready to share a dance or a laugh in her younger years. Her social nature meant that she was often surrounded by family and friends, cherishing every moment spent in their company. Libby's love for her family was the rhythm that guided her through life, and her presence at family gatherings was a source of happiness for all.

Libby's legacy is one of love and kindness. She approached life with a loving heart and a kind spirit, touching the lives of everyone she met. Her infectious smile and generous nature will be deeply missed, but the memories she created will continue to bring comfort to those who were fortunate enough to know her.
