Eliezer L.
Castellano
November 22, 1930 – March 28, 2025
Eliezer L. Castellano, a pillar of strength and a beacon of hope to all who knew him, was called home by our Lord on the 28th of March, 2025. Born on the 22nd of November, 1930, in Mati, Philippines, Eliezer's life was a tapestry woven with the love of family, the pursuit of justice, and the spreading of the Good Word.
Eliezer's earthly journey concluded in Dearborn, Michigan, but his legacy stretches across oceans and generations. He was the cherished son of the late Diego and Feliza Castellano, and the devoted husband to his beloved Tempora Castellano. Their union, blessed on the 22nd of October, 1958, was a testament to enduring love, spanning 67 years of shared dreams and mutual support.
The Castellano family tree flourished under Eliezer's nurturing care, with branches that extended to his children: Eliezer Jr. (Melody), Eleonora (Carlos), Evelyn, Edgar (Nida), Edward (Brenda), Robert, Ruth, and Noemi (Rommel Miranda). His siblings, Romeo, David, Rodolfo, Julia, and the late Miriam Rivas and Diego Castellano Jr., knew him as a caring brother, always ready with a helping hand and a word of encouragement.
The fruits of Eliezer's love were further multiplied in his grandchildren: Carlos-Eliezer, Nerissa Tempora, Andrea, Angelica, Ben Eliezer, Benicio Eduardo, Lorenz Eliezer, Eleana, and Alejandra. His joy was made complete with the arrival of his great-grandchildren, Berenice Zoe and Madie Andrea, who brought new light and laughter into his golden years.
For over four decades, Eliezer served his community as a lawyer, a profession he embraced with the same generosity he showed in all aspects of his life. His clients were not just recipients of his legal expertise but also of his compassion and understanding.
Eliezer's unwavering faith was the cornerstone of his existence. As a founder and elder at Project Four Quirino Seventh Day Adventist Church in Quezon City, Philippines, he dedicated himself to preaching and evangelizing, sharing the wisdom of the Bible and scriptures with all who would listen. His passion for history, especially when it pertained to his faith, was a source of inspiration and learning for many.
A beloved father and a great grandfather, Eliezer's presence was a warm embrace in times of need. A good friend to countless souls, his selflessness knew no bounds. He was a provider for his family, ensuring that their needs were met with the fruits of his labor and the love of his heart.
Eliezer L. Castellano lived a life that was faith-filled, loving, and selfless. These words not only describe the man but also the legacy he leaves behind—a legacy that will continue to guide and comfort us as we navigate our own paths.
As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, let us not dwell on the void left in his absence, but rather fill it with the love he shared, the wisdom he imparted, and the faith he instilled. Eliezer L. Castellano, you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith. Now, a crown of righteousness awaits you, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to you on that day—and not only to you but also to all who have longed for His appearing.
May the life and spirit of Eliezer L. Castellano continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him, and may his memory be for a blessing until we meet again in the presence of our Heavenly Father. Amen.
