Dorothy "Mae" Jones Age 82, passed to her heavenly home on January 29, 2021. Born on October 28, 1938 in Manchester, Kentucky to General and Martha (Roberts) Clarkston, Mae married Edd W. Jones on April 12, 1957 and he preceded her in death in 2003. She is survived by two daughters Dianna (Dale) Luke and Michelle (Dennis) Finnegan. She was proud to be called "Nana" by Amy, Ryan/Autumn and Mallory Luke, Kirsten Fitzgerald, Louis and Declan Finnegan. She became a great-grandma to Mila Mae Luke in June 2020. Mae has two surviving sisters, Juanita and Gail and one sister-in-law, Lois Clarkston. Seven siblings preceded her in death: June Lovins, Ray, Sylvia Lovins, Roy, Pearl, Bobby and Betty Wisecup. Mae worked in the grocery business for over 30 years and retired as Deli Manager at Kroger in 2002. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and spending time with her family. She attended Westland Free Methodist Church and in later years, Chelsea Free Methodist. She spent many mornings at Hudson Mills Metro Park with her walking friends. A private interment will take place at Cadillac Memorial Gardens. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
